Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What is a Podiatrist?
A podiatrist is a medical professional who specializes in diagnosing, treating, and preventing conditions related to the feet, ankles, and lower extremities. They are trained to address a wide range of foot and ankle issues, including sports injuries, diabetic foot care, arthritis, ingrown toenails, heel pain, and more. Podiatrists perform physical exams, order diagnostic tests such as X-rays or MRIs, prescribe medication, create custom orthotics, and may even perform surgeries when necessary. Overall, their primary goal is to help patients maintain optimal foot health and mobility.
What is your cancellation policy?
It is ok to cancel or reschedule an appointment. We just ask you to give our office a 24 hours notice so we are able to make that space available for another patient. We know that at times things can happen at the last minute but a quick call to our clinic can make all the difference. We do charge a $35 No Show fee for those appointments that were either missed or did not notify us in an appropriate time frame.
Do you treat children’s feet?
Yes. We are a family friendly clinic and help children from babies to adulthood. Our gentle and experienced podiatrists help with many common childhood foot conditions such as heel pain, Severs Disease, fungal nail infections, ingrown nails, plantar warts, ankle sprains, flat feet, toe walking and general growing pains.
Do you have any providers that speak Spanish?
Yes. Dr. Rebeca Ray-Gillis is bilingual, with Spanish as her secondary language. She is able to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking patients, ensuring they receive the same level of care and attention as all our patients.
